Google Pixel 6, released back in October last year, appears to have an endless supply of issues. The latest issue is the weird bug that automatically rejects incoming calls without the owner’s knowledge. It looks to be a serious source of concern, particularly if you make a lot of phone calls.
Numerous users have resorted to Reddit to express their dissatisfaction caused by the issue. A reddit user merryjaina was the first user to report the issue. Their Google Pixel 6 series phones are automatically rejecting calls, not only from unknown numbers but the saved contacts as well. And that too, without receiving a ring for the auto-rejected call.
What aggravates this problem is the absence of missed call notifications. Surprisingly, impacted customers’ call logs show a history of attempted calls that were listed as declined, even though no phone call went through on their screen.
It’s worth noting that the issue remains even after disabling every setting that potentially affects phone calls, including Do Not Disturb and Wi-Fi calling.
Users of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have mostly reported troubles. However, a few owners of previous Pixel phones dating back to the 2XL have also reported the same thing. Google hasn’t yet addressed the bug, and no solution appears to be available at this point.
